What is a BCBA?A BCBA stands for Board Certified Behavior Analyst. A BCBA is a Masters level clinician that undergoes rigorous training in applied behavior analysis, 2000 hours of supervision and obtains licensure through a national board certification test. BCBA's have the ability to conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs), skill acquisition plans as well as behavior intervention plans.

What is Applied Behavior Analysis?Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is the science of human behavior. This evidenced based science is used to impact positive behavior change in many areas of human behavior, including autistic individuals. ABA seeks to reduce challenging behaviors such as task refusal, self-injury and other behaviors and replace them with functional communication skills, adaptive living, social and emotional learning.
